By the time girls reach their teenage years, many step away from sports. Research shows that girls drop out of sports at twice the rate of boys by age 14. The reasons vary - financial barriers, excessive pressure from parents or coaches, or the transition into adolescence - but the cost is high.
Girls who stay in sports through high school are more likely to graduate, attend college, and enter the workforce with strong leadership skills. They also report higher self-esteem and lower rates of depression compared to peers who drop out. It's clear that when girls stay in the game, they gain tools for life!
We are raising funds to help cover the cost of participating in tournaments and other team bonding experiences that keep them connected and motivated. With your help, we can continue to support our girls in this opportunity to grow, compete, and thrive!
